Dream of Africa…“lala kama simba”, sleep like a lion

The romantic flickering lights of hurricane lamps lead you to your high-ceilinged tents. Welcome cocoons for a restful night's sleep and afternoon siestas to unwind after an exciting day on safari.

The gentle morning wake up call of ‘hodi’ accompanied by the delicious aroma of freshly roasted coffee or authentic Kenyan tea. The chattering dawn chorus, crisp cool air and beams of sunshine promise another spectacular day in the Mara and coax you out of bed to begin the next day of adventures.

Protecting our habitat as well as preserving our environment

Our commitment to the environment remains of paramount importance at Kilima. Striving to have a minimal impact on the local environment and the Maasai Mara ecosystem.

- Eco-tourism - The Eco-tourism Kenya has awarded a Gold Medal in July 2018. Showcasing our efforts to reduce the facility’s ecological footprint by design and forestation, extensive use of solar energy, water conservation (two purpose built dams to collect up to 12,000 cubic meters of rainwater) & having clear benefits to the local community including supporting the Maasai cultural village.

- Private Conservancy - Surrounded by our 300 acre private conservation for the preservation of environment and to provide a safe haven for our wildlife. 800 indigenous trees have been planted to aid reforestation.

- Community - Supporting them through providing and contributing towards education and employment.
